Director of Business Development

We are looking for a seasoned Director of Business Development who has experience selling professional services, a keen eye for identifying enterprise business opportunities, and a knack for growing relationships with C-level decision-makers that translates to new revenue and sales.

The Director of Business Development is responsible for driving revenue growth by expanding the agency’s roster of enterprise clients. This person will focus on developing the agency’s marketing and business development strategies and systems. Additionally, they’ll be responsible for growing the PACIFIC brand in the domestic market with some cross over into international regions (mostly APAC & LATAM).

Responsibilities of the Director of Business Development at PACIFIC also include investigating, positioning, and presenting new business proposals to C-level prospects. The director will effectively collaborate across PACIFIC’s business units to develop customized solutions and proposals that will enable the agency to pitch, negotiate, and close (lots of) new businesses with targeted enterprise-level clients.

This is a remote position for candidates located in Pacific Standard and Mountain Standard time zones within the U.S.

/ What you'll do

You’re in charge of executing PACIFIC’s business development strategy, lead follow-ups, new prospect discovery, and developing relationships with key decisionmakers within target organizations. Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Refinement and ownership of the agency sales strategy and system
  • Contacting cold prospects via phone, email, and social media
  • Networking with prospects at relevant industry events
  • Maintaining a database of prospective clients and client contacts
  • Developing and managing a new business conversion pipeline and reporting
  • Working with colleagues to brainstorm and develop proactive proposals and recommendations
  • Monitoring and reporting on industry trends
  • Designing, presenting, and regularly updating a library of branded presentation and proposal materials.
  • Achieving and reporting on pre-established sales and revenue goals, hitting all assigned quarterly/annual objectives.

/ Your Background

  • Proficient with CRM solutions (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills (written and verbal) with executive-level customer and agency partners.
  • 8+ years of consultative enterprise business development, marketing, or sales experience.
  • Strong ability and desire to prospect for new business.
  • Proven track record in meeting new business revenue targets.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the digital services and/or advertising agency industries.
  • Deep experience in negotiating skills, pricing exercises, and contract development. (Statement of Work & MSA)
