UI Designer (remote)

You’ll jump right into the mix, working with our tight-knit teams as a member of our staff, and designing for an international roster of clients like Expedia, Kohler, Petco, CVS, Hotels.com, and many more.

/ What you'll do

  • Ideate and design attractive user interfaces following style guides and design systems, as well as creating them whenever necessary.
  • Present and defend design decisions based on the overall project roadmap as well as fundamental visual design principles (i.e., color theory, visual weight, hierarchy, etc.).
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and visual solutions.
  • Incorporate customer feedback, usage metrics, and usability findings into the design to enhance user experience.
  • Create seamless navigation through various digital programs and interfaces within multiple segments of clients.
  • Combine interface design best practices with attractive visual solutions and establish milestones to encourage collaboration.
  • Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering/development.
  • Conduct testing of sample applications, and websites (mobile and desktop), to evaluate user experience and ease of design.

/ Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: graphic design, digital design, interaction design, web design, or arts.
  • 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in creating visually impactful UI designs (online portfolio is required).
  • Ability to ideate, collect feedback from users and convert them into opportunities and tangible solutions.
  • Solid hands-on experience designing user interfaces based on personas, wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows/journeys, etc.
  • Proficient with visual design programs such as Adobe CS and Figma.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment to create top-performing interfaces for clients and internal teams (PACIFIC platform).
  • Continued education and research into UX/UI trends and technologies.
  • Professional written and interpersonal skills when communicating with teams and clients.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently.
  • Account for challenges using problem-solving skills and seek data to support the best possible outcome.
  • Differentiators: strong team player attitude (aka “your ego is not welcome here”), sense of ownership, care for typography, experience with Webflow and basic front-end languages like HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Proficiency in English
