PACIFIC Digital Group, the Discovery Agency, are hosting a blood drive at their Point Loma office on Monday, Dec. 17 from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. as they continue marketing efforts for the San Diego Blood Bank. As blood donations typically decline this time of year, the public is encouraged to attend the drive and can make an appointment to help those in need.

During the holiday season, the San Diego Blood Bank sees a 15 percent drop in mobile collections as many regular blood donors are traveling and high schools and colleges close, in tandem with cold and flu season. All types of blood are needed to keep the bank from dropping to critically low supply.

“One of PACIFIC’s core principles is to give back to our community,” said Norman Brauns, founder and CEO of PACIFIC. “We are honored to host this event during the season of biggest need for the bank.”

In September, PACIFIC launched the #DonateASelfie campaign for the San Diego Blood Bank. The campaign asks San Diegans to extend their arm for something beyond themselves and donate blood.  PACIFIC supplied campaign ideation and execution through SEO, paid media, public relations efforts and more. PACIFIC’s pro bono marketing efforts for the local nonprofit included ads on YouTube, Google, social media and a television segment on KUSI.

“We are so grateful to PACIFIC for their selfless support,” said Dr. David Wellis, CEO of San Diego Blood Bank. “The campaign has raised awareness for blood donation in our community and will help us as we provide critical services to our neighbors in need, especially during the holiday season.”

In addition to partnering with the San Diego Blood Bank, PACIFIC has historically provided pro bono marketing to nonprofits including Water.org, which promotes safe water access and sanitation around the globe.
